Professor Hunter Yuen is Hong Kong Eye Hospital Deputy Hospital Chief Executive, consultant ophthalmologist and head of Orbital and Oculoplastic Service. He is also the chairman of Ophthalmology Coordinating Committee of the Hospital Authority.
Prof Yuen is the Clinical Professor (Hon) of The Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences, The Chinese University of Hong Kong; Honorary Professor of Department of Ophthalmology, Hong Kong University. He has published more than 110 peer reviewed international publications and numerous book chapters, and served as a co-editor in two ophthalmology books.

- Fellow of Academy of Asia-Pacific Professors of Ophthalmology (AAPPO)
- One of the Ten Young Outstanding Persons in Hong Kong in 2007.
- He was also awarded with the Asia Pacific Academy of Ophthalmology (APAO) Yasuo Tano Travel Grant, APAO Distinguished Service Award, APAO Achievement Award and APAO Outstanding Service in Prevention of Blindness Award. APAO senior Achievement Award.
- With the outstanding involvement and achievements in numerous NGOs and charity activities, Dr. Yuen was awarded with the Hong Kong Volunteer Award in 2011.
