AIMS: Advance Dacryology via this website, Membership, Educational Events and Biennial Congress.

Warm invitation to the XVth Congress of Dacryology and Dry Eye, organized by ISD-DE and the Estonian Society of Ophthalmology.

The congress will take place June 17–19, 2026, in Tallinn, Estonia, at the Alexela Concert Hall which in the heart of Tallinn, within walking distance of hotels and the historic Old Town. Local Organiser: Dr Kadi Palumaa.

About ISD-DE

ISD-DE is for Ophthalmologists interested in Watering and Dry Eyes. Look out for announcements on this website over the next few months. Register for the regular Society Newsletter. We will regularly post updates and news on this website.

The Executive Committee will run Education Webinars, enlist World Region Representatives, update the Society logo, modernise the Society by-laws and constitution dating back to 1982, and become a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO).

Membership Fees

To take up membership of ISD-DE and benefit from the reduced Congress registration fees. Applications are by CV and references for review by the Membership Advisory Committee. NB Early Bird Registration Deadline 6th April 2026

What is Dacryology?

Dacryology is the Science of Tears. It is about tears: production constituents, role, passage across the ocular surface, eyelid function lacrimal outflow passages, nasal space and mucosa, and beyond. We also advance research, clinical practice and surgery.
