The advent of COVID-19 pandemic and the Government guidance under Health Protection (Coronavirus, Business Closures) Regulations 2020 and other pronouncements, has meant the closure of all non-essential premises/public venues, of which the conference venue at RIBA, 66 Portland Place, London, W1B 1AD, is one.

Given that no public venue events are probable in London until late 2020, we regrettably announce the cancellation of the XIIIth Congress of ISD-DE on 17th – 19th June 2020, for your and our safety.

Registrants and sponsors will be individually contacted in respect to full refunds. Authors of all abstracts submitted will be individually contacted. Please appreciate that these processes will take some weeks to complete. Meanwhile the activities of the website will continue to expand and we look forward to your participation as Members. The International Society of Dacryology and Dry Eye, 17th – 19th June, LONDON, UK

ISD-DE aims to provide a worldwide role in education, training, research and promotion of dacryology and dry eye within ophthalmology and allied medical sub-specialities. A biennial Congress is held in order to advance research and clinical knowledge in the overlapping fields of watering and dry eyes.

The 13th Congress will be held in London, UK, organised and presided by Jane Olver, currently the Secretary and Vice President, who will then take over the role of President.

Renowned scientists and clinicians from the world of cornea and ocular surface, and lacrimal system will meet in London from 17th to 19th June 2020 for the one day Course and two days Scientific Meeting.

The Congress will be held at RIBA in Central London in the jarvis and Florence Halls https://www.architecture.com/riba-venue-hire/conferences. RIBA is close to Regent’s park and Oxford Circus. There is a lively Social Programme with Welcome Cream Tea on the 17th June and Gala Dinner with Bonsai Jazz on 18th June.

Professor Harminder Dua will give the first eponymous Schirmer Lecture and Geoffrey Rose will give the first Juan Murube Lecture.
