Membership

Membership of ISD-DE is strictly by application to the Membership Advisory Committee. The membership application form should be used for your application. A prompt decision will be made and you will receive a reply within two weeks of application.

On confirmation of membership, biennial advance payment of Membership dues are applicable. After that your account will enable you to register for the biennial meeting at a reduced rate and have a right to vote on line on Society issues, and attend the AGM or nominate a proxy.

Membership is suitable and open to Medical Ophthalmology and ENT Consultants, Optometrists and other Allied Healthcare Professionals (AHPs).

Membership fees support the running of the Society and its website www.isd-de.org, and provide full members with the opportunity of a reduced registration fee for the biennial Congress educational event.

The biennial Congress is for medical consultants, optometry and other allied healthcare professionals from all over the world to meet and update on the latest clinical and scientific advances on watering and dry eyes.


Membership type and cost

Full Membership for two years from date paid:

Full Medical £350
Full Optometrists and other Allied Healthcare Professionals (AHP) £300
Trainees / Fellows Medical £300

Life Membership for ten years:

Life Membership Medical Consultant, £1200
Life Membership Optometrists and Allied Healthcare Professionals (AHP) £900


Benefits of Membership

Only fully paid up Medical Consultant, Optometrists and Trainee / Fellows full Members may get reduced registration tickets, vote on-line on ISD-DE matters, vote in person or by Proxy at the AGM, and apply to hold the Congress Event or be elected to the ISD-DE Committees. Trainee / Fellow membership entitles those members to on line benefits such as discussion groups.


Definition of Trainees / Fellows

Trainees / Fellows are defined as Specialist Ophthalmic Trainees, Optometrists and AHPs and that level of membership may only be held up to a maximum of 4 years, with proof of their on-going Fellowship training.
